Data Migration Developer
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Analyze existing data systems and databases to understand the structure, relationships, and formats of data.
- Map data from source systems to target systems, ensuring proper alignment of data fields.
- Load data into the target system, ensuring data is transferred without errors or data loss
- Perform rigorous testing and validation to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and quality of the migrated data.
- Address issues encountered during the migration process, ensuring minimal disruption.
- Work closely with IT teams, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure the data migration aligns with business requirements.
- Document the data migration process, including workflows, challenges, and resolutions.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience
- Implement object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and demonstrate strong understanding of tool development in .NET C# & Expertise in database management systems
- Proven experience in data migration projects, preferably with large datasets and complex environments
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills for effectively interacting with technical teams and stakeholders.
Desired Skills
- Knowledge of data governance and compliance regulations.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.).
- Experience with project management methodologies
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience
