Execute successful conversion or migration of data from one system or format to another
Responsibilities

Analyze existing data structures and formats in source systems to understand data complexities and dependencies

Assess data quality and identify potential issues that may arise during the conversion or migration process

Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and system owners to define data conversion and migration requirements

Develop detailed conversion or migration plans, including timelines, resource requirements, and contingency measures
-
Execute data conversion or migration processes according to the defined plan and monitor progress, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data accuracy and completeness

Document all aspects of the data conversion/migration process, including procedures, scripts, and validation results

Work with end-users to address concerns, optimize data in the new environment, and provide support for any post-migration data-related issues
Qualifications

Required
-
Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience
-
At least 2 years of data migration or conversion experience
-
At least 1 year of experience with healthcare information system or electronic health records.

Ability to design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to identify data quality issues and inconsistencies

Skills in analyzing source data structures and content
Preferred
-
Proficiency in SQL and at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Perl, or PowerShell)
-
Experience with healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR, DICOM)

Proficiency in at least one ETL-specific languages or frameworks (e.g., PL/SQL, SSIS expressions)

Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, or SSIS)
Expectations

Position may at times require extended or irregular hours outside of traditional office hours to support clients and projects across multiple time zones and any required travel.
