Job Summery-
As a Data Management Strategy Lead within the Chief Data Office group, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the data management and governance across Consumer Banking. Your role will involve gathering requirements and defining processes to manage and mitigate data risks in new public cloud environments. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with our Product and Technology partners, contributing to our cutting-edge data and analytics infrastructure. This role offers the chance to grow and support Data Governance initiatives in the public cloud environment and other emerging technology platforms.
Job Responsibilities

 

  • Contribute to the development of comprehensive strategies for mitigating data risks as CCB data continues to be modernized and migrated into new environments including the public cloud .
  • Take a vaguely defined business challenge and provide thought leadership to define an implementable capability strategy .
  • Collaborate with control functions to ensure Data Governance strategies align with Firm wide and CCB policies and standards, as well as relevant regulatory or legislative requirements .
  • Design and promote solutions to accelerate decision making, scope problems, identify major issues and actionable opportunities, and quantify potential bottom-line financial impact .
  • Ensure frameworks, procedures, and operating models supporting the governance of data in public cloud are clearly documented and socialized
  • Identify potential roadblocks/emerging risks and escalate issues as needed. Lead and support other priority ad hoc Data Governance capability initiatives
  • Communicate effectively with senior management, firm wide partners, and other key stakeholders .

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills -

 

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering.
  • 5+ years Data Governance, Risk Management, Technology experience.
  • Proven ability to take initiative, influence others, and develop great partnerships
  • Knowledge of data architecture concepts. understanding of cloud infrastructure and provisioning
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies and SDLC processes
  • Ability to establish and communicate the strategic vision to all levels and to articulate technology solutions in business language.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills-

 

 

  • Program/project management experience a plus
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and continuously changing priorities. AWS certification desired
