The Enterprise Customer & Operations team (EC&O) enables ASX to run better. This is through improving customer experiences and interactions, delivering simplified processes and services, integrated delivery planning and capability, and driving consistency of standards.
The Enterprise Enablement team within EC&O is responsible for providing enterprise capabilities and frameworks, that enable and govern data management, change, transformation, delivery, strategy execution, customer products, and process mapping.
The ASX Data Office within the Enterprise Enablement team owns the enterprise data management frameworks, policies, standards and strategy execution required to strengthen how ASX governs, manages, protects and uses data. The team sets enterprise guardrails for data management, provides guidance and oversight to divisions, and supports the uplift of data management capability across ASX.
Your responsibilities:
Develop Enterprise Data Management Framework components including policies, standards, procedures and playbooks.
Define and deliver process improvement for Data Impacts assessment, data lifecycle processes such as data ownership, classification, data management policies and associated compliance procedures.
As a subject matter expert in data management and governance, advise strategic projects on implementing good data
management requirements, appropriate data controls and governance processes.
Collaborating with Enterprise Risk & Compliance, Legal and Privacy teams, ensure alignment of Data Management framework
and associated policies with enterprise risk management framework
Collaborating with Enterprise Architecture, tech and business resilience functions, and cyber teams, ensure data management requirements are incorporated in respective frameworks.
Support divisions and lines of business teams in planning and implementing Data Management practices, standards, and policies
Support data owners in implementing data management practices and processes ensuring critical data and associated risks are withing appetite.
Develop and deliver guidance for business areas to implement practical steps to uplift data management
Develop/support development of new methodologies, processes, training to deliver data management uplift roadmap
Liaise with divisional data owner delegates to coordinate data management uplift activities.
Drive and contribute to building a data focused culture and uplifting data literacy at ASX
Contribute to a collaborative Enterprise Enablement culture by role modelling ASX values and actively breaking down silos
Work across teams and divisions to share knowledge, resolve issues and improve end to end enterprise outcomes
Provide leadership and guidance to team members and/or practitioners, supporting capability uplift, performance and effective ways of working
Operate effectively in ambiguous and changing environments
Demonstrate curiosity and build a deep understanding of the role’s function and the broader ASX context
Undertake other activities reasonably required to support the effective operation of the Enterprise Enablement function.
Contribute to One ASX culture and adhere to values and cultural expectations as defined across ASX
Must have:
Tertiary qualification in business, technology, project management, engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
Demonstrated experience in developing and applying Data
Management policies, standards and processes
Experience working with a data management framework (industry recognised or organisation specific)
Strong knowledge of data management, data risks & controls,
and data governance
Participating/supporting an organisation wide capability uplift in Data Management and/or Analytics
Experience in Data & Analytics role, supporting or delivering a business solution ensuring appropriate risk management
Demonstrated communication skills, and the ability to view and explain complex topics in simple terms, telling story with data.
Demonstrated analytical capabilities, applied to complex technology & business environments and programs of work.
Experience in financial services or similar domain
Nice to have:
Working knowledge of a fully integrated Exchange environment would be highly beneficial.
Experience working in high impact enterprise-wide, strategic programs, and initiatives.
Experience with the full software development lifecycle using traditional and agile methodologies.
Experience with agentic data management and governance practices.
Naturally inquisitive – asks questions to ensure understanding.
