Job Title: Manager Technology Data Management

Location: Bangalore

Business & Team:

The Chief Data and Analytics Office is responsible for leading the delivery of world-class data, analytics and technology capabilities to improve the financial well-being of our customers and communities.

Impact & contribution:

• Understanding data needs in Technology and provide SME advice on how to get data and how to use data
• Facilitating data validation, and advising appropriate alternatives for data
• Automating the conversion of project documents to data management artefacts
• Overseeing data management implementation in Technology
• Maintaining the data landscape of Tech
• Setting up automated data quality controls, with alerts to crew leads and delegates
• Delivering at pace, with quality through continuous improvement and governance
• Uplifting people capabilities in data and analytics through engagement networks and community forums

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Present results in a clear and concise manner to senior internal and external Liaise with teams across Technology to identify areas of needs of data in various crews and squads;
• Develop tooling and frameworks to automate data validation for Technology data uses, to help squads assess whether the data is appropriate to be used
• Provide SME guidance to Technology squads on how various sources of data (GDW, OMNIA, Oracle etc) can be accessed, and facilitate discussion with data owners
• Develop tooling in Python and SQL to automate data management processes, leveraging existing code and documents as much as possible
• Oversee the development of data assets in Technology, including guidance to best practice
• Develop tooling and / or facilitate automated data quality controls and reports, to provide timely alerts to crews and squads
• Facilitate the creation and maintenance of the data landscape for Technology
• Escalate outstanding data quality issues to appropriate crews and squads, and if required, up to General Manager level
• Liaise with Risk to facilitate crews and squads to create and maintain appropriate RiskInSite controls

Essential Skills:

• Must have proven experience working with SQL to extract data from multiple tables
• 9 + years of relevant experience
• Must have proven experience working with Python to develop automation solutions
• Must have proven experience in designing analytical solutions
• Must have proven experience liaising with less analytical stakeholders to solve business problems with data
• Must have experience working in quick-paced analytical environments
• Experience in influencing Senior Managers and Executive Managers preferred
• Experience with Agile tools and methodologies preferred (such as Github and Confluence)
• Knowledge and Experience in Banking (customers, products, systems, processes) preferred

Education Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology
