As a Data Management Consultant III on the Data Academy team, you'll be an integral part of strengthening the bank's data management capabilities by facilitating and aiding in the development of training.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the guidance of a more experienced team member, design and deliver comprehensive data management training programs for various teams within the bank. Create instructional content that addresses critical areas such as data governance, data quality, and data lineage.

Conduct workshops and seminars to enhance data literacy and best practices among employees.

Evaluate training effectiveness and make improvements to content and delivery methods as needed.

Liaison between Data Academy and external vendors ensuring effective communication and alignment with the bank's goals.

Collaborate with internal partners such as procurement and finance.

Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.

Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.

Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.

Complete other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years related experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 7 years higher education and/ or work experience, including a minimum of 3 years related experience
Experience in at least one programing language or analytical/statistical tools
Knowledge of data management concepts, terminology, roles, and responsibilities
Experience completing data research using industry standard research methods
Experience enforcing data governance policy and standards in a local area
Strong written and verbal communication skills
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:
Intermediate ability to navigate and retrieve data from databases directly and/or through Application Programming Interface (API)
Experience with data management and query languages in big data environment or cloud environment
Intermediate knowledge of the data life cycle
M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $82,783.41 - $137,972.36 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
