As a Data Management Analyst, you'll contribute to bridging business needs with technology solutions to enable our mission of making the world healthier, cleaner and safer. Partner with stakeholders across our global organization to analyze processes, gather requirements, and implement solutions that drive operational excellence and business growth.
You’ll partner with cross-functional teams to establish, implement, and continuously improve data governance frameworks, standards, and policies across the organization. Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to define data ownership, stewardship, quality rules, and metadata requirements, translating regulatory, compliance, and business needs into actionable data governance controls. Support the full data lifecycle—from data definition and classification to quality monitoring and issue remediation—while fostering strong relationships that promote data integrity, transparency, and accountability enterprise-wide.
Data Governance Execution & Process Ownership
Support of operationalizing the enterprise data governance framework across assigned domains or business functions.
Lead the design, documentation, and continuous improvement of data governance processes, standards, and workflows.
Develop, author, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to:
Data stewardship activities
Data issue management and remediation
Data classification and handling
Metadata management and glossary updates
Data access controls and approvals
Define, document, and maintain business and technical data quality rules aligned to critical data elements (CDEs).
Partner with data owners and SMEs to translate business requirements into measurable data quality controls.
Metadata & Data Catalog Management
Maintain business glossaries, data dictionaries, and metadata repositories.
Support implementation and adoption of data catalog tools.
Ensure alignment between business definitions and technical metadata.
Stakeholder Engagement
Work closely with data owners, stewards, IT, analytics, and compliance teams.
Provide training and guidance on data governance best practices.
Promote data governance awareness across the organization.
Reporting & Metrics
Develop dashboards and reports to measure governance maturity and data quality performance.
Track policy adherence and issue remediation progress.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related field .
•3–6 years of experience in data governance, master data management, data quality, or related data roles.
•Understanding of master data lifecycle management including creation, enrichment, approval workflows, maintenance, and retirement
•Understanding of data lineage, data modeling concepts, and reference data management.
• Strong expertise in requirements gathering, documentation, and process mapping
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks is a plus (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK, DCAM).
• Experience with data catalog and governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Informatica, Microsoft Purview, etc.).
• Experience with data analysis, SQL, and visualization tools like Power BI
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for engaging stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed
