Job Description: Data Lead
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Lead to drive data strategy, architecture, and governance across our organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data management, data engineering, and analytics, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and secure data solutions that support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Strategy & Governance: Define and implement data governance, policies, and best practices to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
- Data Architecture: Design and oversee the implementation of scalable and robust data architectures, including data lakes, warehouses, and pipelines.
- Data Engineering: Lead the development, optimization, and maintenance of ETL/ELT processes to ensure efficient data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
- Analytics & Insights: Work closely with data analysts and scientists to support analytics initiatives, ensuring accurate and timely data availability.
- Collaboration: Partner with engineering, product, and business teams to understand data needs and provide strategic solutions.
- Technology Stack: Evaluate and recommend modern data technologies, tools, and frameworks to optimize data workflows.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and lead a team of data engineers, analysts, and scientists, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in data engineering, data management, or a related role.
- Expertise in SQL, NoSQL databases, and big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and related data services.
- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehousing (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery), and data modeling.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Experience with data governance, security, and regulatory compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience in PostgreSQL and Data Modelling
Minimum Compensation: USD 33,000
Maximum Compensation: USD 118,000
Compensation is based on actual experience and qualifications of the candidate. The above is a reasonable and a good faith estimate for the role.
