Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Integration Specialist to join our rapidly growing Network Transformation organization. This position will build and maintain reporting & insights systems that support our entrepreneurial business requirements.

The Network Transformation Organization’s vision is to accelerate the upgrade of copper to fiber optic technologies, bringing faster and more reliable internet service to many rural markets traditionally underserved by broadband providers, while delivering best-in-class customer experience.

Our ideal candidate has a strong background in identifying immediate and tangible solutions amidst large and complex data sets and the ability to transform insights into strategic opportunities. 

The position requires strong data hands-on skills and experience as well as establishing close business relationships and stakeholders across the Network Planning, Engineering, NOC, Field Operations, Marketing, CARE, and Service Assurance organizations.

As a Data Integration Specialist your responsibilities will include:   

• Utilizes understanding of multiple data structures and sources to design, develop and implement decision support solutions, which may include data visualization, business intelligence, or data collection
• Partners with IT to influence the design, alignment, and implementation of ETL processes and data structures to allow for deeper analysis for current and long-term solutions
• Create intake forms and databases using the Microsoft suite such as Power Apps, SharePoint, Power BI, etc.
• Ensures accuracy of datasets and builds graphical dashboards for leadership to review
• Analyzes data from internal and external sources to ensure accurate data for business consumption, including SAP, Fireworks, BidMaster, JRM, LeaseNet, Costar, JDS, WFMT, NDS, CLM, APO, FT3, ARMOR, MARTEN, Power, and various other related applications
• Ensure projects meet network readiness dates within budget allotments
• Develops innovative approaches to address complex data issues and business problems to facilitate Legacy equipment decommissions
• Collaborates with internal stakeholders to define business requirements and uses those requirements to develop business intelligence reports 
• Evaluate business needs and objectives to inform your OSP/ISP architecture design solutions to Leaders and stakeholders
• Design, develop and maintain our reporting infrastructure using the various reporting stacks including Power BI, SSRS, Tableau, Looker, and QlikSense 
• Serve as a technical business analyst / consultant to non-technical stakeholders 

Qualifications

What It Takes To Catch Our Eye:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in data integration and management.
• 7+ years of extensive Telecomm background/experience in installation, maintenance and repair of all variations of Copper and Fiber services is preferred
• 5+ years of relevant experience as an engineer, planner, OSP designer or Network data analyst with a strong technical foundation is preferred
• Proficiency in data integration tools (e.g., Talend, Informatica) and SQL.
• Experience with Telcom Network Design systems is a plus (IQGeo, GIS, SmallWorld)
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Extensive experience in working with complex datasets from internal program databases
• Experience with big data technologies and advanced data analytics is preferred 
• Good written and verbal communication skills 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, leading, and participating in a team environment. 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment concurrently on multiple projects with varying deadlines. 
• Commitment to excellence - quality, detail and deadline driven. 
•  Ability to work independently without frequent direction
• Entrepreneurial mindset and take ownership attitude.
