The Mission 

Wholesale Banking Data Management Platform, one of the largest global wide lake of ING, is actively onboarding new global flows and is transitioning the tactical solutions to the ING global model of storing and sending the data throughout the organization (Data Products). Apart from this we are implementing future proof, secure and standard (security) controls, monitoring mechanisms, automation, data quality metadata gathering processes.


Within the Tribe, the Data Information Analysists Chapter is responsible for unifying the ingested data from various sources, modeling business concepts, analyzing data and data-patterns, gathering, and analyzing requirements from consumers of the data, but also for contributing with requirements/ input to the design and execution of platform controls.

Your Day-to-Day


  • Own the end-to-end analysis and implementation of Wholesale Banking data requirements for the Dutch Deposit Guarantee Scheme (DGS), from regulatory interpretation through delivery, testing and operational adoption;
  • Translate DNB, DGS Control Standard and Single Customer View requirements into clear business rules, functional specifications, data definitions, acceptance criteria and implementable backlog items;
  • Perform functional and technical data analysis across party, account, balance, interest, eligibility, ownership, representation and blockage data, assessing product and customer scenarios for DGS applicability;
  • Create, validate and maintain source-to-target mappings and end-to-end lineage from local systems of record through the WB Data Lake and SCV DataMart to regulatory reporting outputs;
  • Own DGS metadata deliverables: define Critical Data Elements and local business terms, align them to ING’s global business language, and register approved definitions, mappings and lineage in Collibra or the applicable data catalogue;
  • Define and review data quality requirements and controls for completeness, accuracy, timeliness and reconciliation; investigate anomalies, identify root causes and coordinate sustainable remediation with source, data platform and reporting teams;
  • Support DGS governance and control activities, including Data Usage Agreements, regulatory evidence, control attestations, RCSA input, runbook updates and audit-ready documentation in line with Data Management Control Standards;
  • Partner with Product Owners and Product Leads to shape and prioritise the backlog, manage dependencies and impediments, and coordinate releases against regulatory milestones and quarterly or stress-test reporting timelines;
  • Engage Data Owners, Data Stewards, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Regulatory Reporting, Operations and technology stakeholders to resolve interpretation and implementation questions and secure timely decisions and sign-offs;
  • Coordinate delivery across Head Office, ING Hubs and Dutch-licensed Wholesale Banking locations, communicate progress and risks, and coach colleagues on DGS data requirements, models and governance practices.

What you’ll bring to the team:


  • Experience: substantial experience as a senior Data Information Analyst, Business Analyst or Data Analyst in banking, with demonstrable ownership of regulatory data change from requirements through implementation.

Tech stack/ knowledge:


  • Strong knowledge of the Dutch Deposit Guarantee Scheme, DNB Single Customer View and quarterly reporting expectations, including depositor, product, eligibility, representation, ownership, balance and blockage concepts;
  • Proven ability to interpret regulation, policy and control standards and convert them into precise business rules, functional requirements, data specifications and acceptance criteria;
  • Advanced functional and technical data analysis skills, including SQL, data profiling, reconciliation, root-cause analysis and validation of complex multi-source data flows;
  • Strong command of conceptual and logical data modelling, source-to-target mapping and end-to-end business and technical data lineage;
  • Hands-on experience with metadata management, Critical Data Elements, business glossary ownership and governance tooling such as Collibra; familiarity with data quality tooling is an advantage;
  • Understanding of regulatory data governance, Data Usage Agreements, control evidence, auditability and data quality controls within a governed banking data environment;
  • Broad Wholesale Banking product and customer-data knowledge, with the ability to assess DGS applicability across account types, legal entities, Financial Markets products and local source systems;
  • Confident stakeholder management across Product, Data, Technology, Finance, Regulatory Reporting, Data Owners and Data Stewards, including the ability to challenge constructively and drive decisions across teams and countries;
  • Delivery focus in an Agile environment: able to prioritise regulatory work, manage dependencies, communicate risks and progress, and maintain momentum under fixed reporting and control deadlines;
  • A self-starting, analytical and detail-oriented mindset, combined with clear communication, influencing, facilitation and coaching skills.

  • Foreign language: advanced English.
  • Education: bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Business or a comparable field.
