The Data Analyst will help design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive suite of business intelligence tools to inform and support key business decisions.Job Description
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Partners with Data Stewards, BU Data Owners, CISO, CDO, Chief Architect and Compliance groups to align data governance initiatives with business objectives.
- Conduct technical training sessions to promote data governance awareness across the organization.
- Operate as a spokesperson for Business Units and SME for Data Governance Technology team
- Support DG Council and working groups by providing analysis, reports, insights and recommendations.
- Participate and support any Data Governance / Data Management Internal, External and Regulatory audits
Data Governance and Policy Management
- Support the development and maintenance of Enterprise Data Governance policies, standards, and procedures
- Facilitate adoption of Data Governance principles/ technology across Business units
- Lead Governance Model and Framework initiatives
Technology & Tools Support
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of data governance tools.
- Support Data lineage, Data cataloging, and Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives.
Data Quality & Integrity
- Define and enforce data quality rules, metrics, and processes to improve data accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborate with data owners and stewards to layout & lead the processes and procedures to resolve data quality issues.
- Conduct data profiling and audits to identify anomalies and inconsistencies.
Metadata Management & Data Cataloging
- Envision, Create, Maintain and Enhance enterprise data dictionaries, data lineage, and metadata repositories.
- Assist in classifying and cataloging data assets to enhance discoverability and usability.
- Troubleshoot data governance related system issues or outages; determine root causes and resolve issues.
- Enable self-service discovery of trusted data/ business assets
Required Key Knowledge Skills/ Experience
- Comfortable working in a Scrum/Agile Environment
- Superior problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and the capacity to work under pressure and tight deadlines
- Strong customer focus, excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision and strong track record of setting and meeting delivery commitments
- Capable of setting aggressive goals and pre-define KPIs for self and team members alike
Desired Career Experience
- 3+ years of experience in data governance, data management, data quality, or a related role.
- Hands-on experience with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Informatica Axon, Talend).
- Experience across DG, DQ, MDM, Responsible AI, MLOps, FinOps, etc.
- Certifications in data governance or data management (e.g., CDMP, DCAM).
Education requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or related field
