About The Role:
- Lead the definition, documentation, and enforcement of data governance standards, policies, and processes to ensure data quality, consistency, and usability across business intelligence and analytics deliverables for the client.
- Maintain and enhance business glossary and data dictionaries for BI-relevant data domains, facilitating common understanding across users and platforms.
- Serve as the SME representing the data team in discussions, forums and committees with business & technical teams to address data-related business needs and ensure alignment on data strategy and priorities.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to identify and manage Critical Data Elements (CDEs), ensuring alignment with client-specific analytics requirements, and support the definition and implementation of data quality business rules for standard or custom datasets.
- Lead source-to-target data mapping activities, as needed, to ensure complete and accurate integration of data to be used in analytics reporting.
- Translate BI business requirements into clear data requirements, including assisting in the definition of business logic and transformation rules to ensure alignment between analytics outputs and underlying data structures.
- Conduct data profiling, data lineage analysis, and data quality assessments to support root cause analysis and continuous improvement of BI data assets.
- Investigate and resolve data quality issues, dashboard data gaps, and anomalies in data feeds (such as missing columns or inaccurate outputs) to ensure reliable and trusted analytics delivery.
- Assess the adequacy of current data sources and identify opportunities to enhance analytics outputs by integrating additional internal, external, or third-party data sources when appropriate.
- Partner with the BI resource, platform data engineers, platform data analysts, and product teams to ensure governed, accurate, and timely data integration into the data platform and business intelligence dashboards.
- Lead or support user acceptance testing (UAT) for data-related feature enhancements, ensuring requirements are met and changes are accurately reflected in the data platform and BI outputs.
About You:
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Data Governance, Data Quality, or Data Compliance.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Data Management/Data Operations activities (e.g., data analysis, data mapping, data profiling).
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Business Intelligence, with demonstrated proficiency in designing, developing, and deploying reports using Power BI.
- Very good knowledge of SQL queries and understanding of SQL Server databases.
- Experience with Data Governance tools such as Unity Catalog, Purview, Collibra is recommended.
- Experience supporting a technology product, platform, or software solution is recommended.
- Experience with ETL tools, business analytics, and commercial real estate data is recommended
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or related disciplines.
