We are looking for a Data Governance Analyst to join our Data Governance team in Bangalore. This is an amazing opportunity to work on data quality and data governance of customer accounts The team consists of four people and is reporting to the Team Lead of Data Governance. We have great skill set in researching, analyzing, and managing accounts and we would love to speak with you if you have skills in data quality management and data governance frameworks.
About You
- Must have minimum 4 years of relevant experience with 2 years of experience in Data Governance, Data Quality, Master Data Management, or a closely related data operations role is required.
- Must have proven experience analyzing and managing customer account data, including account setup, data cleansing, relationship mapping, hierarchy management, and identifying data inconsistencies across CRM and Finance systems.
- Should be proficient in using digital tools and data systems, with the ability to learn new platforms quickly; familiarity with Salesforce CRM or similar customer‑data platforms is a plus.
- Must hold a bachelor’s degree in information systems, Management Information Systems, Data Analytics/Data Science, Business Analytics, Supply Chain/Operations Management,
What will you be doing in this role?
- Monitor and maintain customer master data quality to ensure consistent customer records across systems and identify and resolve duplicate or inconsistent account records.
- Execute data cleansing and enrichment activities, maintain accurate account hierarchies and customer relationships.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies across Salesforce, finance, and reporting systems and manage incoming data governance requests through a case management queue.
- Maintain SLAs for account validation, creation, updates, and hierarchy changes.
- Recommend improvements to data governance processes and standards with documentation of data changes and maintain auditability.
About the Team
The team ensures that governed fields on accounts within Salesforce and related finance systems consistently adhere to established governance policies, maintaining the accuracy and integrity of customer master data. They manage the relationships between Salesforce and Finance systems to support seamless integration and the smooth flow of sales orders across platforms. The team monitors and enforces hierarchy standards, naming conventions, and address requirements in alignment with governing policies. In addition to handling complex daily cleansing cases, they also lead large‑scale account detail cleanups and hierarchical resets. They support broader initiatives as well, including new process implementations and CRM migrations. Through these activities, the team collaborates closely with Business Operations, Sales Operations, Order Management and Billing, Tax, and other key partners across the organization.
Hours of Work
2:00 PM – 11:00 PM IST schedule (including one hour break)
