- Analyze Police Crash Reports (PCRs) and related source documents to accurately code crash, vehicle, driver, occupant, and roadway data elements in accordance with CRSS coding manuals and procedures.
- Review and interpret crash report information to accurately enter coded variables into designated CRSS data collection systems while meeting established productivity standards.
- Apply CRSS coding rules, definitions, and quality control procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy across cases from various states and Primary Sampling Units (PSUs).
- Maintain a minimum accuracy rate of 95% or higher during coding reviews, audits, and quality assurance activities.
- Research, evaluate, and resolve inconsistencies, missing information, and complex crash scenarios by utilizing coding guidelines, supporting documentation, and established protocols.
- Review and code sampled CRSS and NTS crash cases according to project specifications, coding instructions, and applicable data quality standards.
- Participate in coder calibration exercises, refresher training, and feedback sessions to ensure ongoing adherence to CRSS coding requirements.
- Communicate coding questions, discrepancies, and unusual case circumstances to supervisors, quality control staff, or subject matter experts for resolution.
- Meet established production and turnaround requirements while maintaining data integrity and compliance with CRSS program standards.
- Utilize computer-based applications, databases, and electronic records systems to review source documents, code crash data, and document coding decisions.
- At least 2 years of data entry experience in a fast-paced environment.

Salary: $43,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
