Description

GSM Outdoors is looking for a detail-oriented Data Entry Specialist to join our Supply Chain team in Henderson, Nevada. This role is responsible for accurately entering, updating, organizing, and maintaining data across internal systems and databases.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working with large amounts of information, and takes pride in accuracy. You’ll play an important role in keeping customer, order, and supply chain information current and reliable while supporting the team with day-to-day administrative and data-related needs.

Position Summary

The Data Entry Specialist will perform a variety of data entry and administrative tasks, including transferring information from physical documents into digital systems, maintaining customer and order records, updating order statuses, identifying and correcting discrepancies, and organizing data for easy access and reporting.

This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced office environment.

What You'll Do

Data Entry & Database Management

  • Accurately enter text-based and numerical information from source documents into digital databases and spreadsheets.
  • Transfer information from hard-copy documents into electronic systems.
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets to track customer information, orders, and other supply chain data.
  • Update customer, order, and other business information within internal databases.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records across multiple systems.
  • Review existing data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Identify outdated or incorrect information and make appropriate updates.
  • Double-check data entries to ensure accuracy and minimize errors.

Administrative & Document Support

  • Organize and maintain physical and electronic records.
  • Sort and file hard-copy documents after information has been entered electronically.
  • Operate standard office equipment, including scanners, printers, and other related equipment.
  • Search files and databases to locate and verify information.
  • Assist with document preparation, organization, and other administrative tasks as needed.

Team & Project Support

  • Provide data entry support to the Supply Chain team and other departments as needed.
  • Assist with special projects involving large volumes of data entry, organization, or validation.
  • Support ad-hoc requests and administrative needs across departments.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to resolve data discrepancies or obtain missing information.
  • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy when handling customer, order, and company information.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in data entry, administrative support, supply chain, customer service, or a related role preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy and productivity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong typing and data entry skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace/Google Suite preferred.
  • Comfortable working with Windows-based computer systems and standard office equipment.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team.
