Are you an experienced Data Engineering Team Lead ready to promote data quality, drive innovation and support a dynamic team? Join Bluecurrent and lead the data engineering team in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data practices, pipelines, and infrastructure.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement data engineering strategies that align with business goals and technical requirements.
- Ensure data quality, timeliness, resilience, cost, governance, and accessibility across the organisation.
- Collaborate with data scientists, data analysts, and other stakeholders to integrate data solutions into business processes.
- Oversee the development, management, and monitoring of data solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the data engineering team.
- Develop and maintain documentation for data engineering processes and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with commercial restrictions, data protection and privacy regulations.
- Support data-centric projects and initiatives by providing data engineering expertise.
What we are looking for
You will ideally have a bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. You will also bring previous proven experience and knowledge in:
- data engineering
- data modelling
- data management
- data integration
- data governance
- data quality standards
- data protection regulations
- commercial SaaS platforms
- contemporary data tools and practices
As the Team Lead, you will bring previous leadership and mentoring experience, leading high performing teams in a technical environment. Your communication and stakeholder management skills will be excellent. You will bring a problem solving, analytical and continuous improvement mindset enabling innovation to drive the future of technology in alignment with Bluecurrent’s strategic goals.
