We are seeking an experienced Data Engineering Manager to lead a team of data engineers in building scalable, reliable, and high-performing data platforms. This role combines technical leadership, people management, and delivery ownership, driving data solutions that enable business decision-making.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Management
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of data engineers
- Drive team delivery, performance, and career development
- Foster a high-performing, collaborative engineering culture
- Data Platform & Pipeline Ownership
- Oversee design and development of scalable data pipelines using Python and Azure
- Ensure robust data ingestion, processing, and transformation frameworks
- Drive standardization and best practices across pipelines
- Architecture & Design
- Define and govern data architecture and platform strategy
- Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise standards
- Guide adoption of modern data technologies and frameworks
- Azure & Cloud Engineering
- Lead implementation of solutions using Azure services:
- Azure Data Factory
- Azure Databricks
- Azure SQL / Data Lake
- Optimize cloud usage for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency
- Data Modeling & Governance
- Oversee development of data models for analytics and BI
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance standards
- Define and enforce data contracts and validation rules
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent in related field
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on Python, Azure, CI/CD, and deployment
