Who You’ll Be Working With

As a Lead Data Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of shaping Alli, our cloud-based AI-powered platform that helps some of the world’s most recognizable brands make smarter marketing decisions.

You’ll lead a high-performing team of data engineers, collaborating with Product Managers, Designers, and cross-functional teams to design and deploy scalable, efficient, and reliable data products. Your work will directly impact how brands leverage AI and data to optimize performance, drive innovation, and stay ahead in the digital landscape.

This role isn’t just about building data pipelines—it’s about leading a team that’s constantly pushing boundaries, exploring emerging AI technologies, and transforming how brands engage with their audiences. What You’ll Be Doing

  • 5+ years of experience in data pipeline development, delivering scalable and maintainable solutions.
  • 1+ years of experience leading and mentoring a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and growth.
  • 2+ years of experience with dbt or other data transformation platforms to optimize and manage data workflows.
  • Proficiency in backend technologies, including Python and JavaScript (Node.js) for building and managing data-driven applications.
  • Strong expertise in RESTful APIs, data architecture, and SOLID engineering principles to ensure efficient and maintainable solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-based deployments to enhance system reliability and performance.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes for scalable application management.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure, with hands-on experience using data services like Redshift, BigQuery, or Snowflake.
  • Experience working with ETL frameworks and data modeling techniques to optimize data accessibility and performance.
  • Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices to maintain data integrity across systems.
  • Strong ability to communicate technical concepts clearly across teams, aligning engineering efforts with business objectives.
  • A commitment to curiosity and adaptability as a continual learner, staying at the forefront of media innovation while prioritizing client success with a customer-focused mindset that seeks opportunities to deliver meaningful value.
  • A dedication to people-focused leadership, fostering collaboration, innovation, and professional growth by leading by example and nurturing strong relationships that empower others to excel.

Nice to have qualifications:

  • Interest or familiarity with the Digital Marketing industry.
  • Prior experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs).
  • Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Ansible to streamline deployment processes.

Experience with the following technologies:

  • Databases & Data Warehouses: BigQuery, Snowflake, Postgres, Redis, MongoDB, Redshift
  • Cloud Platforms: AWS, GCP
  • DevOps & Infrastructure: Docker, Terraform
  • Programming Languages: Python, JavaScript (NodeJS, React), Go
  • AI Technologies: OpenAI, Bedrock, Vertex, LangChain
  • System Architecture: RESTful APIs, WebSockets
