Primary Responsibilities:
- This role will focus on several areas: core ETL engineering, platform reliability, and forward-looking modernization (containerization, orchestration)
- Python ETL Development: Design, build and maintain python-based scripts that support batch and streaming ETL workflows, ensuring reliability, modularity, and reusability across data pipelines
- Data Pipeline Orchestration: Configure, optimize and monitor ETL jobs using existing orchestration tools, ensuring SLAs are met and failures are proactively handled
- Data Quality Automation: Implement automated validation, reconciliation, and various checks within ETL flows to ensure accuracy and completeness of ingested datasets
- Support and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues in production ETL pipelines, including performance issues, dependency failures, and data inconsistencies
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
- MS SQL & data modeling experience is necessary with the ability to create and optimize queries and work with various database technologies and cloud data sources
- Python proficiency is a must with experience in script design, build, error handling, logging and performance tuning
- Version control with Git / Github for deployment pipelines for data engineering codebases
- Containerization fundamentals: Docker, Kubernetes, packaging and deploying python ETL workloads for portable and load balanced execution
- Analytical & Consulting ability to translate technical concepts into business value and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Continuous learning mindset is important as we are proactive in creating and adopting new tools, patterns and architectures for modern data platforms

Skills Required
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
