Primary Responsibilities:
- Support data migration and modernization projects by assisting with data validation, testing, and deployment activities
- Help develop, maintain, and monitor data pipelines using tools such as Snowflake, dbt, Databricks, Talend, and Rundeck
- Assist with data ingestion and transformation processes to ensure accuracy, reliability, and performance
- Support the execution and scheduling of jobs and help troubleshoot basic model or data issues
- Participate in quality engineering (QE) activities, including testing, validation, and post deployment checks
- Work with senior engineers and SRE teams to support deployments and resolve operational issues
- Assist in converting existing SQL logic and data processes into modern, scalable data models under guidance
- Use AI and automation tools to improve development efficiency and support data validation efforts
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to understand data requirements and support business needs
- Actively participate in team meetings, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing activities
- Continuously build technical skills in data platforms and tools, with exposure to emerging technologies such as Databricks
- Demonstrate a solid willingness to learn, adapt, and grow within a fast-paced data engineering environment
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Hands-on experience or academic exposure to modern data platforms and tools such as Snowflake, dbt, Databricks, Talend, and Rundeck
- Experience supporting or assisting with data migration and modernization initiatives, including testing and deployment activities
- Understanding of data pipeline development, monitoring, and job scheduling processes
- Foundational understanding of data engineering concepts, including data ingestion, transformation, and validation
- Familiarity with AI assisted development tools or automation techniques to improve development efficiency and data validation
- Exposure to quality engineering (QE) practices, including data testing, validation, and post deployment verification
- Basic proficiency in SQL and familiarity with converting legacy SQL logic into scalable, modern data models
- Proven ability to troubleshoot basic data, model, or pipeline issues under guidance from senior engineers
- Proven solid collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with senior engineers, SRE teams, and cross functional partners
- Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to understand and support business data requirements
- Demonstrated willingness to learn, adapt, and grow in a fast paced data engineering environment
- Proven ability to proactively participate in team meetings, training sessions, and knowledge sharing activities
- Proven solid attention to detail, problem solving skills, and a commitment to data accuracy, reliability, and performance
