Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks, with a Solid focus on Python and PySpark as primary development languages
- Develop and maintain data models and data warehouses for analytics and reporting
- Optimize performance of large-scale data transformations using Spark and Delta Lake, leveraging advanced Python and PySpark capabilities
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to deliver high-quality datasets
- Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy standards
- Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regard to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate; Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate.
- Overall 5+ years of experience
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering roles
- Cloud Platforms: Azure (Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics, Data Lake)
- Experience with Delta Lake and serverless compute
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
Programming: PySpark, SQL; familiarity with Python or Scala - Data Engineering Tools: Azure Data Factory, Databricks notebooks
- Data Modeling: Star and Snowflake schemas
- Version Control: Git integration with Databricks
- Solid understanding of performance optimization techniques (partitioning, caching, broadcast joins)

- Experience with Snowflake
