Grafana Engineer
The Grafana Engineer focuses on implementing and managing the Grafana platform for monitoring, visualization, and observability. This role supports real-time monitoring, alerting, and visualization of infrastructure, applications, and business metrics by designing, developing, and maintaining Grafana dashboards and integrations across cloud and hybrid environments. The engineer collaborates with DevOps, SRE, and data teams to ensure observability is actionable, scalable, and aligned with business goals.
Job Responsibilities:
Deploy, configure, and maintain the Grafana Observability Stack, ensuring scalability and reliability.
Design and implement automation solutions using playbooks and roles.
Develop and maintain Grafana dashboards and integrations across cloud and hybrid environments.
Monitor Grafana tools' health and performance, responding to incidents and disruptions.
Implement security best practices for managed services within the observability stack.
Refine monitoring, alerting, and observability strategies.
Provide technical support and guidance to teams.
Manage infrastructure using tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
Maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.
Diagnose and resolve Grafana-related issues.
Collaborate effectively with teams.
Document Grafana configurations and procedures.
Connect Grafana to Prometheus, Loki, Tempo, Elasticsearch, InfluxDB, and other sources.
Optimize data queries for performance and accuracy.
Configure alert rules and notification channels (Slack, PagerDuty, Opsgenie).
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
Strong experience with Grafana for monitoring and visualization.
Proficiency with Prometheus, Loki (logs), and Tempo (traces).
Solid understanding of infrastructure systems and performance optimization.
Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Proficiency with Terraform or CloudFormation.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.
Basic knowledge of scripting languages like Bash, Python, or Go.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Minimum Requirements:
3 years of experience in observability, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering.

Experience with Grafana plugins, custom panels, and API integrations.
Familiarity with observability tools: Prometheus, Loki, Tempo, Mimir.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
Scripting experience (Python, Bash, or Go) for automation and tooling.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Helm).
