We’re looking for a Data Engineer to join us at Telia.
I’m Sara Hedenström, heading up one of our vertical teams called Content Voyage, and I’m searching for someone ready to grow with us. We’re a supportive, forward-thinking team focused on making the discovery of the service smooth and enjoyable.
Have you ever spent more time searching for what to watch than actually watching it? Our Content Voyage team is on a mission to solve that. We use data and innovative technology to transform a vast library of content into a curated list of options tailored just for you, so our users spend less time browsing and more time enjoying. We work in a cross-team setup with one mission: to fulfill our users’ needs. You’ll collaborate closely with other data engineers, backend developers, and client developers. We believe in close collaboration and a strong “sharing is caring” attitude.
What you’ll do:
Help drive data and personalization within our service.
• Develop: Design and scale real-time data pipelines on GCP using Python, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub, orchestrating workflows with Cloud Composer. Own infrastructure as code using Terraform and automate deployments with GitHub Actions.
• Create: Bridge data to insights by learning and contributing to our dbt project, transforming complex data into a single source of truth for the company. Work closely with data scientists and analysts to accelerate learning.
• Enable AI vision: Build foundational data models and pipelines that will power next-generation personalization features.
What will help you thrive in this role:
We’re looking for someone with a positive and daring attitude. If you have previous streaming or TV experience, that’s a big plus.
• Proven experience in data engineering tasks such as establishing data lifecycles, building robust real-time pipelines, and crafting trusted datasets for personalization.
• Strong knowledge of GCP, Python, and Dataflow, plus experience with Terraform and GitHub Actions.
• Ability to solve complex problems and communicate effectively with different stakeholders.
• Fluency in English.
• A passion for AI and Machine Learning is a big plus.

Monthly salary range for this position – 3500 - 5300 EUR (gross) + annual performance/sales bonuses. Although it may vary depending on your skills and experience.
