We’re looking for a Data Engineer to join us at Telia.
I’m Sara Hedenström, heading up one of our vertical teams, Content Voyage, and I’m searching for someone ready to grow with us. We’re a supportive, forward-thinking team focused on making the discovery of the service smooth and enjoyable.
Have you ever been spending more time searching for what to watch than actually watching it? My Content Voyage team is on a mission to solve that. We use data and innovative technology to transform a vast library of content into a curated list of options tailored just for you, so our users spend less time browsing and more time enjoying. To do this, we need a skilled and passionate Data Engineer to own our data lifecycle, from building robust, real-time pipelines to crafting the trusted datasets that power our personalization features. This role goes beyond traditional backend infrastructure, you will be the crucial bridge connecting our data platform to the smart, engaging experiences we create for millions of users. We work in a cross team setup, with one mission to fulfill our users needs. You will be working with other data engineers, backend developers and client developer with the lead from Product owner, Manager and UX Lead. We believe in close collaboration and with a strong sharing is caring attitude.
What you’ll do:
You will be the champion of our dbt project, transforming complex data into the single source of truth for the company. You will partner closely with our data scientists and analysts, becoming their go-to expert for reliable, high-quality data.
Develop, design and scale our real-time data pipelines on GCP using Python, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub, orchestrating our workflows with services like Cloud Composer. You will own our infrastructure as code using Terraform and automate our deployments with GitHub Actions.
Create and Bridge Data to Insights (Analytics Engineering): You will be learning about our dbt project, transforming complex data into the single source of truth for the company. You will be working closely with our data scientists and analyst who always will support you to become a quick learner.
What will help you thrive in this role:
We are looking for someone with a positive and daring attitude, if you have previous streaming and TV experience we see that as an extra plus.
Proven experience from previous Data Engineering tasks with proven, hands-on experience building and managing data solutions on a major cloud platform like GCP. Such as establishing a data lifecycle - from building robust, real-time pipelines to crafting trusted datasets that power our personalization features.
Strong knowledge of Python and SQL. You believe that clean, well-modeled data is the key to everything, and you have strong, hands-on experience with dbt. You have a strong sense of ownership and get real satisfaction from building systems that are powerful, reliable, and easy for others to use.
Ability to solve complex problem and an ability to communicate to different stakeholders.
Fluency in English.

Monthly salary range for this position – 3500 - 5300 EUR (gross) + annual performance/sales bonuses. Although it may vary depending on your skills and experience.
