Summary:
In this role, you will design and implement standards and procedures for platform validation and maintain data integrity through the data lifecycle. You will assist with design, implement, and maintain data warehouse and all related extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) data functions.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing and implementing Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) pipelines for extracting, transforming, and loading data from various sources.
- Develop SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts for data processing and transformation.
- Monitor and troubleshoot ETL workflows to ensure accuracy and performance.
- Optimize SQL queries and database structures for better performance and efficiency and Implement indexing, partitioning, and query optimization techniques.
- Assist in designing and maintaining data warehouse models such as star and snowflake schemas.
- Work with fact and dimension tables to support analytical reporting.
- Apply cloud-based data engineering tools such as Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure SQL MI (Managed Instance), Microsoft Fabric, etc.
- Maintain detailed documentation of ETL workflows, database schemas, and data models.
Qualifications:
- Relevant degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred.
- 2 or more years of relevant software development experience required.
- In-depth experience with MS SQL Server and T-SQL including Data Definition Language (DDL), Data Manipulation Language (DML), performance tuning, and indexing required.
- Strong experience with design, build, and support of ETL and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) processes is required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft cloud technologies required.
- Experience in Azure cloud technologies including Azure SQL, Azure SQL MI, Microsoft Fabric, and Azure Data Factory (ADF) is preferred.
- Experience working with Data Warehouses is preferred.
- Experience working with Java, Python or .Net is a plus
Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $77,400.00 to $135,400.00.This position is also incentive eligible.
