This job is responsible for joining a team to create a data platform for advanced analytics and model building. Our team partners with product managers and data practitioners to design, scale, and deliver comprehensive data solutions to diverse consumers.

In this job, you will:

• Develop data models and data pipelines (ER and Dimensional).
• Manage data flow from sources through pipeline.
• Master key internal data sources, schemas, and data semantics.
• Analyze and organize raw data.
• Evaluate business needs and objectives.
• Combine raw information from different sources.
• Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability.
• Identify opportunities for data acquisition.
• Collaborate with data scientists and architects on several projects.
• Manage and provide the underlying data for management dashboards.
• Manage and provide the underlying data for ML/AI systems.
• Other duties as assigned.

Here's what you'll need to be considered:

Education

Required – Degree in Computer Science, IT, or similar field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred – Master’s Degree and/or Data engineering certification is a plus.

Experience

Required – ETL, Data Modeling, Data Warehousing, and working with large-scale datasets.

Preferred – Azure Data Factory and Databricks.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong working knowledge of Data Engineering and the respective tools and technologies (e.g., Apache Spark, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Parquet Files, Python, SQL DB, Data Lake concepts).
• Working knowledge of Azure services.
• Advanced numerical and analytical skills.
• Proficient computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of people within and outside the organization.

Physical Demands & Requirements

Sedentary work.  Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.  Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Hearing.  Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction.  Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound.

The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.

Environmental Conditions

The work environment described here are meant to be representative of those an employee would normally encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.

The physical environment requires the employee to work inside where there are limited extremes to heat and/or cold; moderate noise; a normal office environment.

Travel may be required for trainings and meetings—up to 5%.

The expected base pay range for this role is:

$95,200.00 - $120,400.00

Actual pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including work location, job-related knowledge, skills and relevant experience for the job. Pay amount does not guarantee employment for any particular period of time.
