POSITION SUMMARY
This role is required to be in office 5 days a week.
As a Data Engineer at Domo Inc., you will play a critical role in building and maintaining robust, scalable data pipelines that support financial analytics solutions and AI-driven insights. You will collaborate with data scientists, BI analysts, engineers and sales teams to architect data workflows that transform complex financial data into actionable business intelligence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes for our AI-driven financial analytics and BI platforms.
- Ingest, process, and model large and diverse financial datasets, ensuring data accuracy and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.
- Implement data validation, monitoring, and quality assurance frameworks within data workflows.
- Work with cloud-native technologies (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and leverage big data tools to support real-time and batch data processing.
- Continuously improve data platform reliability, security, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
- Document data practices, workflows, and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline.
- 2-5 years of experience as a Data Engineer, preferably within AI data platforms, financial services, or BI environments.
- Proficient in Python programming.
- Strong understanding of financial analytics concepts, including market data, portfolio analysis, risk metrics, and trading workflows.
- Experience in SQL and relevant database technologies (relational and NoSQL).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative team-oriented mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with AI/ML data pipelines or platforms.
- Previous work experience at a BI or AI data platform company.
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance considerations in financial data handling.
