What Your Days Will Be Like:

The Data Engineer will focus on building data feeds and tools to ingest data into our centralized Data Lake/Data Warehouse. You will work with business areas and application teams to help design and build data feeds to support analytics consumption at Care.com.

What You'll Be Working On:

• Collaborate with application teams to understand data and assist in building data feeds.
• Develop code for data ingestion into the Data Warehouse.
• Help identify data sources and assist in data architecture documentation.
• Assist in establishing data engineering practices.
• Work with infrastructure, operations, and development teams to implement new technology.
• Solve code-level problems.
• Participate in code reviews.
• Follow software best practices and standards.
• Incorporate best practices for security and performance into data pipelines.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

• BS in Computer Science or relevant engineering experience.
• 3-5 years of work experience in Data Engineering/data pipelines.
• 3+ years of SQL experience preferred.
• 1+ years of experience with Snowflake Cloud Data Warehousing is preferred.
• Python/Snowpark experience is a plus.
• Experience working with business teams is a plus.
• Knowledge of Data Warehousing is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Salary Range: 100-125k - The base salary range will be discussed during the interview process and will be based on experience and location. The range listed is just one component of Care.com’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and short- and long-term incentives.
