ABOUT THIS ROLE
The Data Engineer at Apex Fintech Solutions will deliver cutting-edge data products to our correspondents and customers. By collaborating with the product manager and the broader team, the role is pivotal in creating, operating, and maintaining products aligned with our mission to enhance financial services through technology. This position plays a critical role in bridging the intricate world of data with strategic business objectives, empowering dynamic fintech initiatives, and driving industry transformation through innovative data solutions.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Design, build, and optimize robust and scalable data pipelines capable of handling vast data volumes.

Develop and maintain data products that provide customers with critical insights for data consumption and analysis.

Collaborate with stakeholders to ascertain data requirements and implement analytics systems.

Enhance data quality and reliability using modern data management techniques and technologies.

Develop and sustain real-time database systems and data warehousing solutions tailored to business needs.

Drive continuous improvement by optimizing systems to minimize downtime and enhance data processing efficiency.

Document all data architecture processes and systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.

Support data product operations across environments during business hours.
Required Skills/Abilities:

Exceptional analytical skills with expertise in handling and interpreting large datasets accurately and efficiently.

Strong collaborative skills, demonstrating a positive attitude and the ability to work seamlessly within a diverse team.

Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all organizational levels to convey technical concepts clearly.

Solid understanding of ETL processes and the development of microservices architecture, with a proficiency in Python for cloud environments.

Proven experience in infrastructure management, employing modern Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices, cloud deployments, and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) methodologies.

Expertise in cloud data technologies and platforms, with hands-on experience working with tools and services such as data warehousing, workflow automation, monitoring solutions, and transformation frameworks.
Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field or work experience equivalent.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in data engineering, demonstrating expertise in data management systems.

Experience in the financial services industry is preferred but not required.
