Job Title: Data Engineer
Location: Bengaluru, Manyata Tech Park

Our team is composed of data and Analytics engineers, data scientists, and leaders, who bring in the right mix of skills. We also work very closely with our business and operations colleagues to support these services which are critical to the Australian and Global economy.
Impact & Contribution: The role involves working closely with multiple teams like marketing, partnership teams, CEE teams, technology and CDAO to deliver partnership offers. Passionate about customers and the opportunity to build trust and customer advocacy through data-driven insights.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Conduct analysis to understand the E2E data flow of the product.
- Liaise with Product owner to ensure the prioritization is set.
- Undertake assessment of data risks and existing controls that mitigate these risks and generate data quality assessment.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand their business and use the data management framework to identify critical data elements (CDEs) and capture sufficient metadata and to identify rules for data quality measurement and develop thresholds.
- Undertake identification of detailed data flow & lineage from point of data capture to point of data consumptions.
- Independently manage the work stream and the relationship with stakeholders with escalation to Line Manager as necessary.
- Contribute to improvement of data literacy, data management and data quality.
Essential Skills:
- 5-7 years of experience.
- Understanding of Data Warehouse/ETL concept
- Experience writing high quality, maintainable SQL, Stored procedures on large datasets – Specifically T-SQL. Experience in writing stored procedures in Snowflake
- Experience in ELT tool such as DBT.
- Knowledge in SSRS or equivalent reporting tool; Python, Power BI – Good to have.
- A good understanding of data sourcing for analytical needs through multiple tactical and strategic data sources and supporting the data strategy of the bank. Strong analytical, numerate and logical reasoning skills with attention to detail.
- Implementing pipelines which deals with any format of data using CI/CD.
- Advanced communication and engagement skills, with a collaborative style. Ability to communicate insights and strategies both in writing and verbally
- Ability to articulate complex analytical requirements and findings in common non-technical terms.
- Flexible approach and able to deal with change and develop new ways of working to drive continuous improvement.
- Performance tuning and coding optimization techniques.
Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree in Engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology.
