Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines and architectures.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements.
- Implement ETL processes for data ingestion, transformation, and loading.
- Ensure the quality, reliability, and integrity of the data infrastructure.
- Optimize database performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data solutions into applications.
- Design and implement data models, schema, and structures.
- Stay updated on emerging data technologies, tools, and best practices.
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot data-related issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong programming and scripting skills (e.g., Python, SQL).
- Experience with data warehousing concepts and technologies.
- Proficiency in database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Knowledge of ETL tools and processes.
- Understanding of big data technologies and distributed systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with cloud-based data solutions (e.g., AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse Analytics).
- Knowledge of data governance and compliance.
- Familiarity with data lakes and NoSQL databases.
- Understanding of data security and encryption.
- Previous experience with real-time data processing.
