Job Summary
Our client is looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join the Data & Advanced Analytics team within the banking industry. In this role, you will help build and maintain data-driven solutions by onboarding new data sources, developing reporting capabilities, and enhancing the SQL data warehouse.
You will work with SQL Server, Python, Git, and other data engineering tools while supporting the integration of new data into the data warehouse, from staging through to the data mart. The role also involves ensuring data quality, maintaining existing data pipelines, and working with legacy environments that include MS Access databases, text files, and Excel-based reports. You will be working closely with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams, and you will contribute to delivering reliable, scalable, and high-quality data solutions.
Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of proven experience in Data Modeling, Advanced SQL, and Database Management & Administration (Required)
- 5+ years of strong T-SQL development experience, including complex stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, and query optimization (Required)
- 3+ years of experience in the banking domain with in-depth knowledge of financial products (Required)
- Experience with Python, Airflow, SQL Server, and Git
- Experience working with financial product data and familiarity with its data structures
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on automation and efficiency
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and non-technical stakeholders
