Job Description:
Key Accountabilities
- Support Data Lead and delivery teams in end-to-end data migration activities for D365 (Sales, Project Operations, F&O)
- Analyze and migrate data from disparate source systems into D365 using structured migration approaches
- Design and build Microsoft Fabric link and ingestion frameworks to bring D365 data into Fabric (Lakehouse/Warehouse)
- Develop and maintain data models aligned with reporting and analytics requirements
- Work with Dataverse and integrate it with Microsoft Fabric for advanced analytics and reporting
- Build and optimize Power BI reports and dashboards using Fabric and D365 data
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks during migration cycles
- Collaborate with functional and technical teams to ensure data mapping aligns with business processes
- Support testing cycles (functional/system testing for data migration) before UAT
- Document data flows, data models, and migration logic
- Ensure adherence to data governance, quality, and security standards
Professional Knowledge/Skills
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, or data migration roles
- Strong experience in data migration for D365 (mandatory) including understanding of entities and migration frameworks
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory, Lakehouse, Warehouse)
- Proven experience in building Fabric pipelines to ingest D365/Dataverse data
- Strong understanding of Dataverse and its integration with Fabric for reporting and analytics
- Experience in data modeling methodologies (dimensional modeling, normalization, etc.)
- Strong SQL skills and experience with ETL/ELT processes
- Hands-on experience with Power BI for enterprise reporting
- Understanding of data quality, governance, and validation frameworks
- Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments (Azure DevOps preferred)
