Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable, secure, and well-governed data solutions supporting a critical investment platform. The role focuses on delivering production-grade data pipelines, curated data models, and data services used across platform applications, operational processes, and client and regulatory reporting. You will operate with a high level of autonomy and act as a technical authority for data engineering within the platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines (ingestion, transformation, and publishing) supporting operational and analytical use cases
  • Develop and manage logical and physical data models aligned to platform domains and business processes
  • Deliver high-quality data services and curated datasets for applications, reporting, and downstream consumers
  • Ensure strong engineering practices across data solutions, including testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and operational support
  • Implement data quality, reconciliation, lineage, and auditability controls to meet regulatory and business requirements
  • Own the reliability and performance of production data platforms, including incident response and continuous improvement
  • Provide technical leadership in data architecture, design decisions, and engineering standards

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in data engineering within complex enterprise environments, with end-to-end ownership of production data solutions
  • Strong expertise in building and operating data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, and data integration across systems (databases, APIs, files, events)
  • Advanced capability in SQL Server, including schema design, optimisation, and performance tuning for production workloads
  • Strong experience in data modelling for both transactional and analytical use cases
  • Hands-on experience with C#/.NET for data processing, integration services, and platform-aligned data solutions
  • Experience with cloud-based data engineering platforms, particularly Databricks and/or Google Cloud Platform
  • Strong understanding of data quality, reconciliation, lineage, traceability, and auditability in regulated environments
  • Experience applying CI/CD, automated testing, and operational monitoring to data and platform solutions
  • Ability to make sound engineering and architectural trade-offs balancing performance, scalability, reliability, and compliance

Skills Required
