Job Description

Job Title - Data Engineer

Working model - this is a Remote position (inside Portuguese territory only)

Team - you will join the Sales & Partnerships team within the Data Analytics department.

Level - Professional (working in teams or individually on projects, with emphasis on technical/discipline knowledge rather than managing people) 

Location - Portugal

Contract - Permanent (36 h/week)

What your impact will be:

• The activities of the Sales & Partnerships domain team are focused on reports, tables, analysis and, more generally, all sorts of deliverables related to company's sales data in order to create an important value in supporting decision-making of the business

• The candidate will have the opportunity to become a key member of the team leveraging their engineering skills to acquire, manipulate, orchestrate and monitor data.

• Working in Sales & Partnerships domain team the candidate the candidate will have to work with multiple stakeholders from the business, partnership and product optimization areas

• The candidate will be accountable for project results in terms of efficiency following department guidelines and value for the company.

Qualifications

Your expertise:

• At least 2 years of experience in similar role in a fast-paced environment
• SQL advanced knowledge
• Experience in Data Modelling
• Experience in ETL design, implementation and maintenance
• Experience with workflow management engines (e.g. Airflow, Google Cloud Composer, Talend)
• Experience with data quality and validation
• Fluent in English both written and spoken

Desirable: 

• Programming languages knowledge (e.g. Python, R, Scala, Java)
• Experience in analysing data to discover opportunities, address gaps and anomaly/outlier detection
• Experience with Analytics tool (e.g. QlikView, Tableau, Spotfire)
• Familiarity with digital and e-commerce business

• 1st interview (Manager): Moment for manager to get to know you better + SQL test
• 2nd interview (Manager + team member): Technical evaluation (Data Model & theoretical knowledge)
