Job Title: Data Engineer
Position Type: Contract role
Locations: MUST work onsite in a hybrid model at Sunnyvale, California
Salary Range / Rate (Currency): Up to $60/hr. W2 - depending on the total experience
Job Description:
- Fluency with Mandarin is required for this role since the applicant will be communicating with the internal and external cross border teams.
- Hybrid role, 3 days onsite at Sunnyvale, California
- Contract role, initial September to December 2024, then if performance good, very likely can renew for one year.
- 2 rounds of interview
- Compensation structure: Hourly pay rate + insurance
- Top 3-5 skills -- must have or nice to have, Computer Science or similar background, Math background may work as well as the candidate should have solid experience with: SQL, ETL develop capability, data warehouse, Hadoop, Hive, or similar ETL platforms/framework, and motivation for this role.
• Design and develop ETL solutions that meet business requirements, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness. • Develop and maintain ETL processes using tools such as Hadoop, Hive, or similar ETL platforms/framework. • Create and maintain technical documentation for ETL solutions, including data mapping, data lineage, and data validation. • Optimize ETL performance by identifying and addressing bottlenecks and tuning ETL processes. • Perform data profiling and data quality analysis to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data. • Work with database administrators and other IT teams to troubleshoot issues and resolve problems related to ETL processes.
