Blue Cross of Idaho is seeking a Data Engineer Intern to join our IT team for the Summer. This opportunity will allow an individual to develop technical skills, learn about the health insurance industry, and make data-driven recommendations to business leaders.
This paid internship will be located at our corporate headquarters in Meridian, ID and may have some opportunity for hybrid work.
What we are looking for in an intern:- Currently enrolled in a college or university, preferably a junior or senior standing students
- Experience with database - Server and Warehouse (SQL Server, SnowFlake, etc)
- Experience with Tableau or Power BI
- Extract and analyze information from large data sets
- Learn about the healthcare and health insurance industries
- Gain experience with statistical modeling
- Communicate highly technical information in clear and concise manner
- Learn and assist in the process of migration from SQL Server to a Cloud based data structure
- Update SQL queries and Stored Procedures as necessary
- Update, support, or create reports in an enterprise reporting tool
- Assist with data transformations and data feeds
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned
