Let's Talk About Responsibilities:
As a Snowflake Support Engineer Intern, you will work directly with talented individuals of all levels. With guidance from a departmental leader, you will work on directly with talented engineers, DBAs, and data platform specialists across multiple levels. With guidance from a departmental leader, you will support and contribute to the operation, reliability, and optimization of ResMed’s Snowflake cloud data warehouse environment.
Key responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with Snowflake platform support, including monitoring, incident triage, and issue resolution
- Supporting database administration activities such as user access management, role-based security, and data governance controls
- Helping analyze and improve query performance, warehouse utilization, and cost optimization
- Assisting with routine operational tasks, documentation, and automation using SQL and scripting tools
- Collaborating with data engineers and analytics teams to support data pipelines, reporting, and business intelligence workloads
- The right candidate for our internship is expected to have foundational knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within database systems, data engineering, or cloud data platforms, and will rely on mentorship, instructions, and pre-established guidelines to perform the job’s functions.
This position is preferred to be a hybrid role located at a ResMed office location, headquarters in San Diego, CA. Candidates will be asked to be available to participate in remote and/or on-site team meetings.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
- Ability to work full-time for 12 weeks during Summer 2025; program dates are May 18th – August 7th, 2026, OR June 15th – September 4th, 2026
- Currently pursuing academic studies that will lead to a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Analytics, or a related field
- Foundational experience with SQL and relational database concepts
- Familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, or Bash)
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and cloud-based technologies
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong experiences as demonstrated through projects, research or academic internships
- Great interpersonal relations, team cooperation and communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational and collaboration skills as demonstrated through leadership positions on teams and/or in student or civic organizations
- Exceptional communication skills and interest and enthusiasm related to medical technology industry and a career with ResMed
Pay Range:

Pay Range for this position: $23.25 - $42.75/hour, depending on experience & job classification
