About This Role:

We’re looking for a full-time Data Engineer & Integration Specialist to join our Services team  reporting to the Manager, Solutions Engineering. This role is a hybrid role based in Hyderabad, India. 

In this role, you'll play a key role in the Professional Services team by automating data migration and integration processes and optimizing customer instances. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys working cross-functionally with teams like Customer Success and Sales. The ideal candidate brings strong skills in iPaaS platforms, API integration, and data migration.

What You'll Do: 

• Build and maintain integrations between Gainsight and third-party systems using Workato (our iPaaS platform).

• Connect to external APIs to extract, transform, and load customer data for onboarding and migration projects.

• Develop scripts and tools to validate data before import, ensuring quality and accuracy.

• Create reusable integration recipes to speed up future onboarding efforts.

• Implement monitoring, logging, and error-handling frameworks to ensure integrations are reliable and maintainable.

• Collaborate with Customer Success and Professional Services teams to understand data requirements and design effective solutions.

This is not a complete list of responsibilities, and the scope of the role may evolve with the needs of the team and business.

What We're Looking For: 

• 5 years of experience in data engineering, integrations, or a similar role.

• Proven experience with Workato or another iPaaS platform.

• Strong knowledge of API integration (authentication, pagination, transformation).

• Hands-on experience with ETL pipeline development and data migration.

• Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with BI/reporting tools.

• Experience with Salesforce data modeling and APIs is a plus.

• Basic scripting skills in Python or similar for automation tasks are preferred.
