As a Data Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Audit Technology, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted data collection, storage, access, and analytics solutions in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining critical data pipelines and architectures across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
We are building the next generation of applications through a multi-year technology transformation that will automate the audit flows into best in class technologies and frameworks, delivering an improved user experience. We are looking for hands on Data Management experts and Oracle PL/SQL developers who will be responsible for design and development of business critical enterprise applications using Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, Shell Scripts and Scheduling frameworks.
Job responsibilities
- Supports review of controls to ensure sufficient protection of enterprise data
- Advises and makes custom configuration changes in one to two tools to generate a product at the business or customer request
- Updates logical or physical data models based on new use cases
- Frequently uses SQL and understands NoSQL databases and their niche in the marketplace
- Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
- Design, build, deploy and maintain software applications for Internal Audit functions in close collaboration with our business/customer stakeholders.
- Contribute towards technical business analysis to enrich the requirements produced by business and product owners.
- Ensure focus on excellent data architecture, data management principles and system performance.
- Research new technologies, create proof of concepts, identify best practices, adapt quickly and provide technical guidance to other team members
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- BS/BA university degree, specialized training or equivalent work experience.
- 8 years of Experience across the data lifecycle.
- 5+ years of strong experience with data management activities, that includes : Relational and Dimensional data modeling, SQL querying, DB / Query Performance Tuning, hands on development using PL / SQL, experience in writing Oracle Packages, Stored procedures, Functions, Triggers, including working with scheduling tools like Autosys.
- Advanced Knowledge at SQL (e.g., joins and aggregations)
- Working understanding of NoSQL databases
- Significant experience with statistical data analysis and ability to determine appropriate tools and data patterns to perform analysis
- Database Management skills including Data Analysis & Comparison, Data Quality Management, Reference and Master Data Management.
- Excellent knowledge of DB technologies including Oracle, Autosys, Shell Scripting and writing complex queries using SQL.
- Practical experience with unit testing and troubleshooting PL/SQL code.
- Experience with Oracle system tables, Data Privacy, Access and Security
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Familiarity and experience with Data Lakes, Data Lakehouses (Databricks), ETL, Data Mesh, AI / ML Concepts, LLM etc.
- Knowledge of Data warehousing and Business Intelligence concepts.
- Hands on experience in working with tools like ERWIN, Oracle SQL Developer, TOAD etc.
- Cloud - Experience with both Private and Public clouds.
- Knowledge on cloud-based application architectures, micro services, and distributed systems.
- Knowledge of build tools, source control like Git/Bitbucket with CI/CD.
