As a Data Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Employee Platforms, you will be a seasoned member of an agile team, tasked with designing and delivering reliable data collection, storage, access, and analytics solutions that are secure, stable, and scalable. Your responsibilities will include developing, testing, and maintaining essential data pipelines and architectures across diverse technical areas, supporting various business functions to achieve the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Builds data processing pipeline and deploys applications in production
- Creates and updates logical or physical data models based on new use cases
- Advises and makes custom configuration changes in one to two tools to generate a product at the business or customer request
- Frequently uses SQL and understands NoSQL databases and their niche in the marketplace
- Supports review of controls to ensure sufficient protection of enterprise data
- Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on data engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- End to end understanding and hands on experience with Data Pipeline Processing
- Create LDM and PDM for DataLake Applications
- Technically competent in Databricks, AWS & Spark
- Programming experience in Python or Java
- Experience across the data lifecycle and Advanced at SQL (e.g., joins and aggregations) along with working understanding of NoSQL databases
- Significant experience with statistical data analysis and ability to determine appropriate tools and data patterns to perform analysis
- Experience customizing changes in a tool to generate product
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to review complex information thoroughly and ensure accuracy in all deliverables
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality outputs on time and within scope
- Keen interest in Problem Solving and a positive attitude

- Engineering Degree in Computer Science
