What You’ll Do
We are building commercial-grade technology to operate kidney care services at scale. Our data platform connects numerous healthcare systems delivering our clinicians with a wealth of data and clinical insights. The Data Engineer I focuses on building pipelines using data from various sources including claims and clinical data. Data Engineers become accustomed to both the technical and business details of the source systems and engage with multiple technologies on how to acquire the source data. This role will report to the Manager, Data Engineering.
The Day to Day
- Assists in building and maintaining data pipelines to integrate various source systems into the Strive Data Platform.
- Analyzes source system data to understand business logic and contribute to ensuring data quality throughout pipelines.
- Supports the development of cloud-based architecture components.
- Applies and expands healthcare domain knowledge to inform the development of data pipelines.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in data engineering, preferably in healthcare or related technology fields.
- Internet Connectivity - Min Speeds: 3.8Mbps/3.0Mbps (up/down): Latency <60 ms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with healthcare data types and standards (e.g., Claims, EHR systems, HL7, FHIR).
- Working knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and database principles.
- Intermediate proficiency in SQL and experience with Python.
- Experience with both structured and unstructured data.
- Basic understanding of cloud-based data architectures and technologies.

Annual Base Salary Range: $85,700.00 - $104,000.00
