Do work that matters:

Within the Chief Technology office you will be a key member of EUX Analytics team that is dedicated to delivering key insights and comprehensive reporting for the End User Experience Business Unit, which comprises over 400 employees.

Our primary focus is on leveraging PowerBI to transform data into actionable intelligence, enabling informed decision-making and strategic planning. Our team collaborates closely with various departments to ensure that the insights we deliver are aligned with business objectives and drive continuous enhancement for Commonwealth Bank.
We are seeking people who can:

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines to support data integration and transformation processes.

• Implement and manage Medallion architecture to ensure data quality and traceability.

• Develop and optimize ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.

• Write efficient and scalable code in Pyspark(Python) OR Spark(Scala).

• Use SQL/T-SQL to process large datasets.

• Extract data from various APIs and integrate it into the data pipeline.

• Create and maintain PowerBI reports and dashboards to provide insights to stakeholders.

• Utilize Microsoft Fabric to enhance data storage, compute, and service layers, ensuring seamless integration and data management.

• Write comprehensive documentation on how reports and data sources are created, including data lineage, transformation processes, and data quality controls.

Tech skills:
We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer with a strong focus on data pipelines, Medallion architecture, and ETL processes.

• Proficiency in Pyspark(Python) OR Spark(Scala) and SQL .

• Experience with API integration and data extraction.

• Good understanding of PowerBI and its capabilities for data visualization and reporting. Knowledge in DAX is nice to have.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric architecture and capabilities, including data lakehouse, data warehouse, and OneLake.
