Data Engineer - ETL

Job Overview:

As a Data Engineer specializing in Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes, you'll design and implement data integration solutions, ensuring smooth and efficient data flow within our systems. Your role involves optimizing data pipelines, handling large datasets, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet data processing needs.
Job Responsibilities:

• Act as a trusted technical advisor to users, resolving complex database migration challenges, especially within the context of healthcare data.

• Develop and deliver best practices recommendations, sample code, and technical presentations tailored to various levels of business and technical stakeholders.

• Communicate effectively with clients to gather project requirements and ensure successful project delivery from start to finish.

• Migrate transactional database systems such as SQL Server (2008 and above), PostgreSQL, and MySQL to the CureMD Platform.

• Data scraping using Python.

• Collaborate with healthcare clients to understand technical requirements and assist in designing, planning, managing, and troubleshooting the data migration process.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• 1-3 years of experience with data migration strategies, particularly in migrating large-scale production systems in both on-premises/data center environments and cloud migration scenarios.

• Experience with database technologies, particularly SQL Server 2008 and above, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.

• Proficiency in SQL with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Data scraping experience in Python.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience in the healthcare IT domain is highly preferred.

• Background in O/A levels is an advantage.

• Familiarity with database management tools for backups, recovery, snapshot management and partitioning.

• Hands-on experience in developing ELT or ETL workflows.
