We’re looking for a Data Engineer to help bridge the gap between our core Data Infrastructure and the specific needs of Vinted Pay. As part of the Data Platform Foundations team, you will be the dedicated engineering lead for Vinted Pay data success. You will work on a Shared Platform model, where you adapt Vinted core data components (ML Platform, Experimentation, ingestion tools) to run within the Vinted Pay environment (AWS & GCP). In this position, you’ll- Build and maintain Data Infrastructure components (Ingestion, Airflow, ML) to work seamlessly within Vinted Pay AWS and GCP project structures
- Build and maintain ingestion and custom CDC logic for AWS to ensure Vinted Pay data lands reliably in cloud providers
- Work across teams (ML, Experimentation, Impact) to help Vinted Pay adopt new tooling like Feature Flags, Model Serving in AWS, and Experimentation Metrics
- Own the Vinted Pay Airflow DAGs and dbt models, make sure they meet the high reliability and compliance standards required for fintech
- Provide guidance to Vinted Pay engineers on deploying and configuring shared components in their kubernetes clusters
- You will participate in on-call rotations to ensure our product performs well
- Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, or Java
- Experience building and operating data pipelines at scale
- Proven experience with cloud platforms, specifically GCP and AWS
- Hands-on experience working with containerised and distributed environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) for managing cross-cloud resources
- Comfortable acting as a bridge between two domains and driving a backlog independently
- Strong written and verbal technical communication skills
- Nice to have: knowledge of Kafka, Airflow and ML serving patterns
