Senior Data Engineer - Data Hub Sales (m/f/d)

We're looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer (m/f/d) to join and drive the data engineering strategy within the Sales Data Hub at a Leading European Mobility Company, DKV Mobility

As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll build and scale robust, cloud-based data products that power Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service from pipeline to production, generating measurable impact across the business.

• Independently develop data products for Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service in close collaboration with the central Data Intelligence & Analytics team, following an agile approach
• Design and implement relational and dimensional data models in a cloud-based Azure environment, taking full ownership of architectural decisions
• Build, operate, and continuously optimize data pipelines to address business-critical challenges in performance, quality, and cost
• Take ownership of the end-to-end development of a modern data lakehouse architecture, including infrastructure as code using Terraform
• Champion data quality and actively promote data literacy across Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service
• Support and advise stakeholders on the adoption of the new Azure-based Data & Analytics framework, enabling further growth
• Lead or co-lead cross-functional projects as a Sales Data Hub representative, driving engineering standards and knowledge sharing across the team

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a comparable qualification
• 6+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer or BI Engineer, with a strong focus on developing and scaling cloud-based data platforms
• Deep expertise in Python and SQL, applied confidently for complex data processing and modeling
• Extensive hands-on experience designing, building, and operating modern data lakehouse architectures
• Proficiency in infrastructure as code, particularly Terraform, with a strong sense of ownership for stable, scalable data infrastructures
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to manage technical projects independently while staying closely aligned with business stakeholders
• Strong communicator in both German and English, able to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences
• High level of autonomy, end-to-end ownership mindset, and a proactive approach to knowledge sharing

Please note that this position is based in Ratingen.
