As a Sr. Data Engineer at Element Fleet, you will support the development of scalable, high-performance data pipelines. This role is a great opportunity for someone eager to work with big data, cloud technologies, and Al infrastructure, while gaining hands-on experience in data engineering best practices. You will be working closely with data scientists, ML engineers, business users and SMEs to ensure the availability, quality, and efficiency of data for analytics, dashboards and Al applications. You will communicate your findings and collaborate on product development. Outcome of your work will serve multiple business purposes, from commercialized software solution development, driving internal business decisions, to consulting external clients.
- Translate business requirements into functional and technical implementations
- Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and collaborate with global team to automate data replication to our Data Warehouse (Snowflake).
- Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to support Al and data analytics workflows.
- Work with databases (SQL, NoSQL) to ensure efficient data storage, retrieval, and transformation.
- Optimize data processing workflows for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Implement and monitor data quality checks to ensure data integrity and consistency through different techniques
- Use statistical computer languages (R, Python, SQL, SAS, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in data engineering, cloud computing (AWS, GCP, Snowflake, etc) and Al infrastructure.
- Collaborate with data scientists, data analysis, SMEs, engineers and Business users to design data pipelines ensuring best practices.
- Proactivity in optimizing processes and ability to communicate complex solutions in a simple, actionable way
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in an area related to IT, engineering, mathematics, statistics, etc
- 3-5 years' experience in positions related to data engineering positions
- Experience in data transformation, automation of manual processes
- Advanced SQL queries / Stored Procedures creation
- Use of an ETL tool (Talend / Qlik Replicate)
- Power BI or another related BI tool
- Programming language: R/Python and creation of scripts
- Experience with tools for data modeling, data cleansing
- Experience working in dynamic groups, taking initiative, working independently, and collaborating with others when necessary.
- Experience working with cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Snowflake, etc)
- Advanced English (At least B2)
