About the Role: Fragomen, an AMLaw 100 Firm and the leading global immigration services provider, is seeking a Data Demand Lead to join as a new key member of the Data Management Team. The Data Demand Lead manages and develops the data demand process as well as ensures and enables that data brings value to the whole organization.
How will you make a difference as a Data Demand Lead at Fragomen?
- Oversee the intake, processing, and fulfilment of all data requests, including new use case demand, data access requests, and issue resolution.
- Manage a standardized data demand form and ticketing system to streamline the process of requesting and tracking data needs.
- Collaborate with data engineers, IT, and data governance teams to ensure proper data ingestion, storage, and accessibility.
- Partner with data governance teams to enforce compliance with regulatory requirements and the data policy.
- Follow through on a scalable workflow to manage the lifecycle of data requests, including intake, approval, processing, and delivery.
- Monitor and report on key performance metrics such as request turnaround time, quality of data delivered, and satisfaction levels from internal stakeholders.
- Register, assess, and track use cases across the firm, ensuring proper alignment between data use and business goals.
- Identify and resolve data quality issues, bugs, and other challenges raised by users.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on the status of data requests, pipeline progress, and any potential bottlenecks or risks.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for business users who need data to support client cases, reporting, or decision-making.
- Implement best practices for data handling, security, and quality control, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of data used across the firm.
Leverage your valuable skills and experience to make an impact at Fragomen:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science, computer science, project management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of proven experience in data & analytics with 2+ years of experience leading a data demand function.
- Strong understanding of data technologies, including data analytics, data management, and data governance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to build & lead a team who balance multiple & complex requirements.
- Knowledge of data governance and compliance requirements in the legal industry is a plus.
