Data Center Operations Engineer 

We’re looking for a proactive and independent Data Center Operations Engineer to join our team in India and manage the ongoing maintenance and operations of Adyen’s data center infrastructure across the India sites. 

In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring high availability and operational continuity of our data centers by performing preventative maintenance, deploying new hardware, managing stock levels, and keeping our DCIM documentation fully up to date. You’ll work closely with global teams mainly based in Amsterdam and local third-party vendors, supporting both day-to-day operations and long-term infrastructure growth.

What you’ll do

  • Perform preventative maintenance across our server fleet to ensure reliability and extend hardware lifespan
  • Travel to our India data centers to deploy new servers and pre-built racks, ensuring proper installation and integration
  • Work closely with the Data Center, Networking, and Provisioning teams (primarily based in Amsterdam) to support smooth deployments and operations
  • Partner with the Supply Chain Manager to maintain appropriate stock levels of critical spare parts across India sites
  • Coordinate with third-party remote hands for break-fix support and onsite activities between scheduled visits
  • Troubleshoot hardware and infrastructure issues efficiently to minimize downtime
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, decommissions, and secure handling of components
  • Independently manage your schedule and workload to keep operations on track
  • Own third-party hardware installation projects within our environment
  • Act as the on-call first responder for data center incidents in the India region
  • Ensure DCIM data remains fully accurate for all India deployments
  • Support internal and external audits as required

Who you are

  • Comfortable with frequent travel within the India region
  • Experienced in data center operations, including server deployment, maintenance, and asset/security management
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure and data center best practices
  • Self-driven and able to prioritize effectively across multiple tasks
  • Detail-oriented, with strong ownership and follow-through
  • Clear and confident communicator across teams, vendors, and regions
