Everforth ECS is seeking a Data Architect to work in our Arlington, VA office.
ECS is looking for a Data Architect for a dynamic team to help align and unify agency data equities, capabilities, needs, and use cases for CISA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategizing, developing, architecting, and implementing data architecture and data solutions to support use/analysis of CISA mission data. As a lead with seasoned experience in this domain, the Data Architect will be expected to paint a vision, while merging technical, business, and customer needs into achievable objectives, and supporting architecture and data solution design decisions to meet those objectives. Strong candidates will have a record of understanding cyber data to support Cyber Operations, experience working across an ecosystem of data capabilities, leveraging innovation, building consensus, executing on their vision, and continually adapting to meet the evolving landscape.
**This position requires candidates to be on-site 3 days a week in Arlington, VA**
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide thought leadership with internal team and customers to drive technical solutions, improve organizational practices, and strengthen culture
- Provide unification for agency data and enterprise data capabilities to break down organizational data and operational silos, including mechanisms to standardizing and migrating existing data (structured and unstructured) to a unified data plane/warehouse
- Architect, design, and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions leveraging Databricks, Elastic, AWS, and ServiceNow Integrations
- Experience working with cloud native repositories and multiple data platforms/capabilities to align use, define interoperability and integration, and maximize existing investments to meet agency needs
- Work to unify agency data equities and alignment across multiple programs, and working to ensure that ECS programs conform to agency alignment to maximize integration across the agency
- Must be a US Citizen
- Ability to successfully maintain a DHS Entry on Duty (EOD)/DHS Suitability
- Minimum 5-7+ years of hands-on experience architecting, designing, data engineering with Databricks, Elastic, and AWS in a government setting, Cyber Data experience preferred.
- Relevant Databricks experience related to well-architected Lakehouse, Medallion Architecture, Data & AI Governance, Use Case Acceleration
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Native data and ETL capabilities (S3, Redshift, Glue, etc.)
- Demonstrated experience leveraging data to provide search, enrichment, correlation, AI/ML Model Training, in alignment with government mission and business use cases
- Knowledge of streaming data technologies such as Kafka, Kinesis, Firehose, or Apache Spark Structured Streaming
- Prior consulting or customer-facing experience in data architecture or modernization initiatives.
- Experience in Agile environments and managing cross-functional technical delivery.
