The role:
 
As a Data Architect at Leapwork, you’ll play a pivotal role in defining and building our next-generation data foundation from the ground up. Our data team is establishing the architecture to unify, transform, and connect information from many sources into a unified data view. You’ll help design greenfield data solutions and frameworks that enable scalability, governance, and AI-driven insights across the business. By turning complexity into clarity, you’ll enable the whole organization to execute with greater speed, precision, and impact.  Role Responsibilities:

  • Designing Data Models: Creating database structures and models to organize and store company data effectively. 
  • Developing Data Infrastructure: Planning and building scalable and secure data environments, including data warehouses, lakes, and cloud platforms. Lead the development of new, greenfield data systems and processes to establish a modern, flexible data ecosystem. 
  • Setting Data Governance: Establishing policies and standards to ensure data quality, integrity, privacy, and compliance. 
  • Data Flow Management: Defining and managing the flow of data across various systems and platforms (transactional, analytical, streaming). 
  • Technology Selection: Choosing and integrating the right technologies and tools for data storage, processing, and analysis. 
  • Collaboration: Working with stakeholders, data engineers, analysts, and compliance teams to translate business needs into technical data solutions. 
  • System Evaluation: Continuously evaluating and optimizing data systems for performance, security, and usability. 
  • Data Integration: Planning and overseeing the integration of new data sources and systems with existing infrastructure. 

 Role Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience from a similar role. Proven track record of building or modernizing data platforms from the ground up is essential. 
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of database modeling and modern cloud data platforms (e.g., Microsoft Fabric, Azure, AWS, Snowflake), including data lakes, data warehouses, and data pipeline development. 
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex system requirements and identify solutions to data-related problems. 
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders and translate business requirements into technical specifications.  
  • Data Governance Expertise: Knowledge of data governance principles, data quality, metadata management, and data privacy. 
  • Database Expertise: Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, and data warehousing solutions such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, and Snowflake. 
  • Data Governance & Security: Familiarity with security, governance, and performance optimization practices  
  • Strategic Leadership: Ability to define long-term architectural vision and roadmap for data at Leapwork. 
  • Hands-on Implementation: Comfortable working in a lean environment, setting up tools, frameworks, and pipelines from scratch 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong ability to work with engineering, product, and business teams to align data strategy with organizational goals. 
  • Innovation Mindset: Curious and forward-thinking, with a passion for building scalable, modern data ecosystems that support AI and automation.
